Marinated Tomatoes

Marinated Tomatoes

4 medium tomatoes, peeled and cut into wedges, remove all white veins
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup salad oil
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup sugar
1 or 2 cloves of garlic, split and put on toothpick so it can be removed before serving.
1 tablespoon thyme
Pinch oregano
Salt and pepper to taste

Mix all ingrdients and pour over tomatoes.Marinate 18 hours in refrigerator.
