Baked Beans

Baked Beans

2 16 oz. cans Pork 'N Beans; drain off some liquid
2 medium onions, finely chopped
2 teaspoons dry mustard
9-12 slices bacon, broiled or fried, patted dry and crumbled
2 tablespoons melted bacon fat
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1/2 to 3/4 cup tomato catsup
6 tablespoons molasses
6 tablespoons brown sugar

Broil or fry bacon; reserve the 2 tablespoons bacon fat for recipe. Drain bacon on paper towels and when cooled slightly, crumble. Combine all ingredients in heavy 2 quart saucepan with oven-proof lid. Bake in a 325 degree preheated oven for about 30 to 45 minutes covered and then about 30 additional minutes uncovered.
