Swamp Dip
Linda LarsenSwamp Dip is a basic guacamole recipe, but served with guacamole chips it looks like a green swamp. But it's yummy! To make this recipe easier, or if you can't find ripe avocados in the market (although this is a task that is getting easier) you can use frozen or premade guacamole. Just add some chopped fresh tomatoes and season it to taste, then arrange with the guacamole chips on your favorite platter.
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 15 minutes
Yield: Serves 6
Ingredients:
- 3 avocados, peeled and cubed
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/3 cup sour cream
- 1/4 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
- 1 tomato, seeded and chopped
- 4-6 cups guacamole chips
Preparation:
Place avocado pieces in medium bowl; add lime juice, salt, and pepper and mash to desired consistency using a potato masher. Stir in the sour cream and Tabasco sauce, then add the chopped tomato.
Spoon the avocado mixture into a serving bowl and surround with guacamole chips (green colored chips) and stick a few chips directly into the dip. Serve immediately. Serves 4-6
