Mulled Cranberry Rum Tea


Mulled Cranberry Rum Tea

A lovely warm drink to welcome guests on a cold night or serve after dinner along with our Holiday Spice Cookies.
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups water
4 cranberry-apple herb tea bags
1/4 cup GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY
1/2 cup cranberry juice
6 whole cloves
2 (3-inch) strips orange zest
1 cup orange juice
1/2 cup rum (optional)
4 lemon slices for garnish
Directions
In a medium saucepan bring water to a boil. Remove from heat, add tea bags and steep for 5 minutes. Discard tea bags. To the tea add honey, cranberry juice, cloves and orange zest. Bring back to a boil, reduce heat to low and simmer covered 10 minutes. Discard zest and whole cloves. Stir in orange juice and rum and heat until hot, not boiling.

Pour into teacups and serve garnished with a lemon slice.
