2 cups powdered sugar
1 cup butter, soft

Photo: Blarney Stone Cookies 2 cups powdered sugar 1 cup butter, soft 1 egg 1 ½ tsp. vanilla 2 ¼ cups flour 2 egg yolks 2 Tbsp. water 1 ½ cups finely chopped dry roasted peanuts Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Combine powdered sugar, butter, egg and vanilla in bowl. Beat, scraping bowl often, until light and fluffy (2 to 3 minutes). Shape into 1 inch balls (use tsp. for measuring). Mix well egg yolks and water with a fork. Dip balls of dough into egg mixture and then into peanuts. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 12 to 16 minutes or until top springs back. Makes over 4 dozen cookies. Excellent Butter Cookies. Granny's Favorites Cookbooks
