Skier's Chowder

Skier's Chowder

1 lb. roll of hot pork sausage
2 1lb. cans kidney beans
1 1lb., 13 ounce can tomatoes, broken up
1 quart water
1 large onion
1 bay leaf
1 1/2 teas. seasoning salt
1/2 teas. garlic salt
1/2 teas. thyme
1/8 teas. pepper
1 cup potatoes, diced
1/2 grenn pepper, chopped

Cook sausage until brown and drain thoroughly. In a large pot combine beans, tomatoes, water, onion, bay leaf, seasoned salt, garlic salt, thyme, and pepper. Add sausage and simmer, covered, for 1 1/2 hours. Add potatoes and green pepper. Cook covered, 15-20 minutes, until potatoes are tender. Remove bay leaf. Makes 8 servings.
