Graham Cracker Pie Crust

This graham cracker pie crust is perfect for all kinds of unbaked pies like cream pies or chiffon pies. You can also make this pie crust with chocolate graham cracker crumbs, vanilla wafer crumbs or gingersnap crumbs. Just use the equivalent weight (in this case, about 150 grams) of whatever cookie you want to substitute.

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 10 graham crackers (150 grams)
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ¾ stick butter

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. Pulse the graham crackers in a food processor until crumbled, or just crumble them up the best way you can. You should have about 1½ cups of fine crumbs.

  3. Combine the sugar with the graham cracker crumbs in a large bowl.

  4. Melt the butter, and stir it into the crumb mixture, mixing thoroughly until all the crumbs are equally moistened.

  5. Spread into a 9-inch pie dish, flattening it to an even thickness all around. You can press it down with another pie dish if you have one.

  6. Bake for 10 minutes and allow to cool fully before filling.
Makes 1 9-inch pie crust.
