- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup minced parsley
- 1 clove garlic, crushed and finely minced
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 12 slices white bread, cut into small cubes
Preparation:
Heat oven to 300°. Line a baking sheet with foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray.
In a saute pan or skillet, melt the butter; stir in the parsley and garlic. Remove from heat and add the Parmesan cheese. Toss the bread cubes in the butter mixture until the cubes are well coated. Arrange the bread cubes on the prepared baking sheet and bake for about 25 to 30 minutes, or until browned.
Store in a tightly covered container or food storage bag. Serve in salads or soups.
Makes 5 to 6 cups of croutons.
