INGREDIENTS
- 1/4 cup Old Bay seasoning
- 1 T. salt
- 8 cups of water
- 1/2 of 12 oz. can of beer
- 4 red potatoes, quartered
- 1 large sweet onion, cut in wedges
- 1 lb. smoked sausage, sliced
- 4 ears fresh corn, broken in half
- 2 lbs. large shrimp in shells
DIRECTIONS
- 1In an 8 qt. pot, bring Old Bay, salt, water and beer to a boil. Add potatoes and cook over high heat for 8 minutes.
- 2Add smoked sausage to potatoes and continue to cook on high for 5 minutes. Add corn to pot; continue to boil for 7 minutes. Add onion, and shrimp in shells,
- 3and cook for for 4 minutes.
- 4Drain cooking liquid. Pour contents of pot into several large bowls, shallow pails, or mound on a paper-covered table.
- 5Sprinkle with additional Old Bay if desired.
