PRESIDENT KENNEDY'S IRISH BREAD


PRESIDENT KENNEDY'S IRISH BREAD 
2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1 stick or 1/2 c. butter
1 c. raisins
1 whole egg and 1 yolk
Mix flour, salt and baking powder together. Cut in butter with fork or blender until it is pea size. Stir in sugar and raisins.
In another bowl mix milk and eggs, which have been well beaten. Add this to flour mixture; stir well, but do not beat. Pour into well-buttered loaf pan. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees or until toothpick inserted into bread comes out clean.
