NEW ENGLAND HADDOCK CHOWDER

NEW ENGLAND HADDOCK CHOWDER 
1 lb. haddock fillets
1/4 c. chopped bacon or salt pork
1/2 c. chopped onion
2 c. h ot water
1 c. diced potatoes
3/4 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
2 c. milk
Parsley


Cut fillets into 1 inch pieces. Fry bacon until lightly browned. Add onion and cook until tender. Add water, potatoes, seasonings, and fish. Cook for about 15 minutes or until potatoes and fish are tender. Add milk; heat. Garnish with chopped parsley sprinkled over top. Serves 6.
