Quiche Lorraine Appetizer Pie



Quiche Lorraine Appetizer Pie


INGREDIENTS

  • -1 9-inch unbaked pie crust
  • -8 ounces sliced smoked bacon
  • -1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • -1 (12 oz.) can PET® Evaporated Milk
  • -3 tablespoons water
  • -2 large eggs
  • -1/4 teaspoon salt
  • -1/8 teaspoon white or black pepper
  • - Dash freshly grated nutmeg

INSTRUCTIONS


HEAT oven to 450°F. Place pie crust in pie plate on heavy baking pan. Prick with fork.
BAKE 5 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 375°F. Mix bacon and cheese. Spread into bottom of pie crust. Combine evaporated milk, water, eggs, salt, pepper and nutmeg in a medium bowl until well combined. Pour over cheese mixture.
BAKE 30 to 35 minutes or until light golden-brown and a knife inserted 1-inch from edge comes out clean. Center may still be soft. Cool 10 minutes on a wire rack before serving.
