Simple Alphabet Soup Recipe for Kids
Ingredients:

Carton of Unsalted or low salt chicken broth.
Box of Alphabet Noodles (or other shapes)
Fresh Carrots (shaved or diced)
Water
Celery salt and Onion Salt, optional
Pieces of chicken or turkey, optional
parsley, optional

In a large pot, add chicken broth and about a cup of water.

Add seasoning if desired and add carrots.

Cook on medium heat, then low, until carrots are tender.

Baby Carrots work best for this recipe.
If you don't have baby carrots, peel and shred large carrots
Be sure to taste the carrots before adding to the soup.
Old carrots give the soup a bad taste. Be Sure to Use Fresh Carrots!

Do not let broth boil down.

If it does, add more water, seasoning and broth, if you have it.

In another pot, cook pasta till partially done.

Drain and add a tablespoon butter and mix.

Add to the broth and if you add turkey, add it here.
Let simmer for about five minutes.

Serve With Bread and Butter.
Cold Milk to Drink and Strawberries for Dessert.

If you want, you can change the pasta to rice.
