Skinny Buffalo Turkey Sliders
Skinny Buffalo Turkey Sliders

The turkey has been cut, the presents have been opened and you’ve consumed every indulgent food known to man during the last three months. Now’s the time to reevaluate your eating habits and to start paying attention to things like calories and fat, right?
The only problem? We’re still in the midst of winter so we (or is it just me?) still gravitate toward comfort foods that can really start to pack on the winter pounds. Things like mac and cheese…like towering lasagnas…spaghetti with giant meatballs…creamy casseroles….
…you get the picture.
My solution?? Turn all the calorie-laden comfort foods into something you can feel good about eating.
I actually relish in finding ways to turn some of my favorite not-so-healthy dishes into more figure-friendly options, and I especially love the challenge of fooling my husband into thinking he’s indulging in one of his favorite foods, but it’s secretly healthy.
Just like the majority of the world today, he happens to be completely obsessed...

Tequila-Lime Chicken Tacos with Radish-Avocado Salad

Miso Tofu Burgers with Sautéed Chard & Asian Mayo

Turkish Flat Bread
Directions
Dissolve the yeast, sugar, and salt in the
warm water.
Add the water and yogurt to the flour and mix well.
The dough will be soft but not sticky. Turn the dough
out onto a lightly floured surface and shape it into a
ball. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and allow
it to rise at room temperature for 3 hours.
- Cut the dough into four portions. Shape the dough into rounds and flatten each round as though you're making pizza dough. Cover the rounds with a damp cloth and let the dough rest for 15 minutes.
- Heat a cast iron skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Place one dough round in the skillet and bake until brown spots appear on the bottom, about 1 minute. Flip the bread and bake for an additional minute. Remove the bread and wrap it in a clean kitchen towel to keep warm.
- Repeat with the remaining dough rounds. Store any leftover flatbreads in an airtight container.
