FREEZER CHICKEN A LA KING

FREEZER CHICKEN A LA KING 
1/2 c. butter or chicken fat
6 tbsp. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. salt
2 c. chicken broth
2 c. milk
4 c. diced cooked chicken
1 (6 oz.) can broiled sliced mushrooms, drained
1/2 c. chopped pimiento
Frozen patty shells


Melt butter; blend in flour and salt. Stir in broth and milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until sauce is thick. Add chicken, mushrooms and pimiento. When cooled to room temperature, pour into a freezer container. Label, adjust cover, and freeze at once.If you do not wish to freeze, then serve warm in patty shells.
To serve if frozen: Place frozen block in top of double boiler. Cover and heat through, stirring occasionally, or cover and heat over low heat and thaw in microwave.
Bake frozen patty shells according to package directions. Fill with hot chicken a la king.
