Easy chili con queso cheese dip with cream cheese, picante sauce, cheddar cheese, chile pepper, and seasonings.
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 3/4 cup picante sauce
- 1 package (3 ounces) cream cheese
- 4 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese
- dash paprika
- 1 can (4 ounces) chopped green chile peppers
- dash Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- tortilla chips
Preparation:
Sauté onion in butter until tender. Add picante sauce and stir. Gradually add the cream cheese and shredded cheese. Stir in paprika, peppers, Worcestershire sauce, and salt; continue cooking and stirring until cheese is melted and mixture is well blended. Adjust seasonings to taste. Serve as a dip with tortilla chips. Keep warm in crockpot or chafing dish, if desired.
