Crunchy Top Mac & Cheese

Crunchy Top Mac & Cheese 

8 oz. Macaroni Elbows
4 Tablespoons Butter
3 Cups Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Divided
1 Cup Milk
1 teaspoon Salt
Dash of Black Pepper
2-4 Dashes of Cayenne Pepper (to taste)
3 oz Crushed Better Made Potato Chips

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Boil elbows for 7 minutes (do not cook completely). Drain noodles. Combine noodles, butter and seasonings in a 2 quart casserole dish. Stir in 2 cups grated cheese. Add milk and stir well. Cook uncovered for 30 minutes. 

Combine remaining cup of cheese and crushed potato chips. Remove noodles from oven and sprinkle cheese/chip mixture on top. Broil for about 4 minutes or until browned (watch carefully so it doesn't burn). Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
