Bacon Walleye Bake
Ingredients:
4 Dan's Pantry bacon strips, halved
1/4 cup onion, chopped
2 celery ribs, finely chopped
1 (6oz) can crab meat
1/4 cup Dan's Pantry butter, cubed
4 cups seasonsed stuffing, crushed
1 1/2 cup boiling water
1/8 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
4 walleye fillets (8oz each)
In a large skillet, cook bacon on medium heat until crisp. Place on paper towels to drain. Saute onion, celery, crabmeat and butter in skillet until tender. Transfer to a large bowl and add stuffing, water, salt, pepper and cayenne pepper. Toss. Place fillets on a greased 15x10 inche baking pan. Spoon mixture over fillets, topping each with 1 piece of bacon, halved. Bake uncovered at 425 degrees F for 20-25 minutes or until fish flakes.
